Well, at the strike of 11 pm CST, my first semester is over. With only one assignment late (and then it was by 1 minute), I am very impressed at how well it went. So far, I am getting a low A in one class and a high B in the other. By the time all the assignments are graded, I know that it will be High A's in both.
Wayne is finishing up his last two and he'll also be done. He's working on the one that could get published. Not sure where he is in class but happy to say we know he is passing it.
We've got a week off of classes for both Wayne's and my schooling. Should make the end of the school year stuff for the girls go easier. Can't believe Angela graduated from high school on Thursday and we picked up Tara's senior pictures already. Time sure does pass by.
Angela will be working on packing up her items for storage and getting ready for Uncle Sam. Tara will be spending the summer with grandma/grandpa, going to camp and working in one of my college books called On Course by Skip Downing. As for Faith, she's got grandma/grandpa, camp and getting ready to go to a regular style school. Maybe this week, I'll look into some educational things she can do to while everyone else is up to work.
*sigh! Job well done for all of us!

Semester almost over
Well I have survived my first semester of classes. Almost. I have one more assignment to do which if write a 1500 word (minimum) essay on my personal philosophy of success. I'm just dying to know what I'm going to write. With the computer crashing this weekend, a graduation and cute little ones, I didn't get as much time as I would have liked to work on school stuff.
Wayne still has some work on his last assignments for his class as well, but we've accomplished a bit of research so it shouldn't be to bad.

Look out, here I come.
Got the semester paid off, THANK GOD!!!!! He's the only one that could have figured that one out. Just waiting for MSU to update my account so I can register for next semester. Have some paperwork to work on for the upcoming semesters, and I should be able to breathe a little better during them.

Looking ahead
Finished my assignments for last week early. I was looking at this coming week's and even started. One thing we need to do is locate a business on the NASDAQ that we would want to purchase stock from. Ok, so I tried......Chick-Fil-A (Private), Hobby Lobby (Private), and so on and so on. All the Christian companies that I'd like to hold stock in are private companies. Grrrrr! I've been researching other Christian companies, ones that have good morales and I'm finding the same thing.......Private!
I might just have to use one that I'm not interested in for the assignment :(

Week 5 Assignments
Well Week 5 assignments are finished and turned in. Thankfully, the instructors are pretty quick so I won't have to cringe for long while I wait for my grades.
Wayne just finished his last assignment for Week 2 of his class. So we'll both be crossing our fingers for good grades. He's taking Marketing. YEAH!
All assignments for both college students are now submitted.

Personal History
You know after 38 1/2 years of history, it's hard to fit it all into 5 pages. So I just snapshotted my personal history for the assignment; hopefully I got the parts the instructor is looking for. Either way, it's is done!
Angela read it over and corrected a few typos, Wayne is currently reading it. Tara will probably read it as well, but it will be after the dishes.
Comments so far:
1) Angela mentioned that Faith's name was in there but not hers; however she was happy that I used the word beautiful when describing her.
2) Wayne didn't like that he was mentioned after the VFW, but was ok once I mentioned that I used our 18 years of marriage in the conclusion as a sign of success. I told him I could change "wonderful husband" to "slum of a husband" if he preferred. LOL!
3) Tara will be reading it shortly.
Got the assignment turned in. According to the clock it was 2 minutes late, but it will have to do. Part of the assignment was to let others read it, so I had to wait for their schedule to allow it.

Business Exam # 2
Just finished my second assessment for Fundamentals in Business. Held my breath as I scrolled down to look at the score. Guess I did ok.......I got a 94/100. LOL! YEAH! I can breathe again........well atleast until I see more grades are up. Still have to finish my personal history but I got the worst of it done. Time for bed, I can work on it after church!
(On a side note, my girls were beautiful today and not just because they were dressed for Prom.)

Personal History
One of my assignments for this week is to write my personal history. Well it's always been replaying in my mind but while looking through papers for official APA formatting stuff, I found many poems I wrote when I was living in Michigan. A couple of them, I forgot about.
One poem was written to two couples who were in the process of getting a divorce. It's all said and done, the 4 have moved on away from each other.
The other one was written to my two oldest daughters just after they accepted the Lord as their Savior. That one put a tear in my eye. It was a nice moment for the three of us.

Grades and Funding
Well an update from yesterday, the last of the grades that were missing are in and I'm still doing well. YEAH! Got a few of my assignments done today and realized that I forgot about one, but it's not due until Sunday so I'm still good to go. Those left to finish are at least outlined to make it easy once I get to them.
As for funding, after a few phone calls and a little bit of don't talk to me, talk to this person then waiting for them to call me back...... I think we'll be good. I should be receiving a discount and that will help take half off of what I still owe for the semester if I figured it out correctly. It will just be a matter of a few penny pinching and then we'll be good for this round. As for next round, we're feeling pretty confident that it won't be as big of an issue.
For the one class, we have to write our personal history. Since I'm interested in our family tree and frustrated when I can't find out information, I'm really excited about this assignment. At least when my descendants continue the work, they will have a little bit of information. Can you imagine, years down the road the grandkids or great grandkids reading the story of my life from my own wording? I just get excited thinking about the connection they'll have.

Intro to Blog
HI all, just started this new blog thanks to the inspiration of my friend Randi. We're both in school together and I've been watching her post comments tracking her progress so figured I'd do one also.
It's kind of funny that in high school I was a wildcat and now in college I'm cougar. Both schools are very far apart in location. At least I'm safe, I married a bulldog so if I went to college with a dog mascot, I know I'd never hear the end of it.......which reminds me...... I wonder what the mascot is of the college my husband attends. I might have to check that out later.
Anyway, we're on week 4 of classes and it's going rather well. I'm getting kind of worried about the funding for it but know that somehow it will all work out. I am rather addicted to seeing what is going on in the classrooms. There's a few grades that haven't posted yet from last week, and one from the week before.
During this college adventure, I'm also working to create an online business. I'm kind of blocked though because I'm trying to come up with a business name. It's not necessarily one that I'll be doing business as. In other words, I'm thinking of a name for an umbrella. I've already worked out the names for some of the prongs of the umbrella which will be specific to the products I will be selling.
